The apostle Paul wrote a letter to the church in Colossae to counter the false teaching undermining their confidence in the Gospel. In his letter, Paul reminds them of some foundational truths about Jesus. Truths about Jesus that we needed reminding of today.

In their difficult circumstances, the Lord called His people to consider their ways.

Rest is important, and Psalm 23 shows us it isn’t simply a break from work or routine but that resting is actually a gift from God and it has a purpose.

Prayer is revealing. What we pray for reveals what is important to us. A quick mental inventory of our most recent prayer requests proves this.

Isaiah 53 is a well-known and much-loved passage of Scripture by many. A prophecy of Isaiah which reveals the Good News about the Servant of the LORD who would come to save His people from their sins. 

Who is this Servant of the LORD? How has He saved us?
